Most of Vandyke's hardware is based on the Dell Workstation line of computers. There are also many Linux-based CRT terminals available. Many of Vandyke's CRT servers are based on the Linux operating system. The most popular of these is the SecureCRT board, which is used to create the user interface to the computer server. The Vandyke product line includes several different products. A company can use secureCRT to help them migrate their information technology systems from Windows to UNIX or to simply free themselves from Windows licensing fees. Vandyke Computer Systems produces secureCRT and Vandyke compatible security servers and workstations. A company may use secureCRT for managing a network of computers in real time, or to troubleshoot weakly attached computers. It is a free software that runs on the POSIX platform. SecureCRT is a dynamic, interactive remote control (RAC) solution for UNIX-based computers.
